What kind of hair styles (if your hero will have hair) would you all Be looking for? Hell what kind of hair Styles will there be is what I should be asking No?

I know myself there are two. The almighty Afro! , and the Deadly Mohawk! nothing better then Cutting people down 70's or 80's Style!

Moving hair.

Probably not, but a girl can dream.

Moving hair would be awesome. Another thing is to make sure that the hair works with the cloaks and other costume items. There is nothing I hate worse than for long hair to clip through the items!!

Oh, and pigtails and braids are a necessity.

Moving non-clipping hair - oh necessarily, please. The complaints of a friend of mine when canceling his subscription to CoX were "ugly hair" and "not enough customisation". It doesn't have to be amazingly free-flowing locks, but some reactivity would be nice. You've given characters faces, now give them something more than wedges of stuff on top of their heads.

Yeah, mainly due to the helmet hair impaling the cape problem. I ended up getting short hair with capes, it drove me that crazy. Granted, crazy's a short drive for me, but still!

:D "Comb-over. Awww yea! I have powers to bring mountains crashing down, but still have a lack of self-esteem and can't accept my baldness."

Custom hair ... is difficult to do well.

Even in Oblivion, a game that still sends most video cards into a corner to cry, can't seem to get hair right. It always ends up looking like your weary traveller has gone for months without conditioner.

(But maybe that was the point ...)

Anyway. I'm thinking that with the cel-shading they're going for that your hero is going to have hair that looks like it was drawn by Tim Sale or Darwyn Cooke rather than styled by Vidal Sassoon.

And I'm cool with that.

I want as many hair styles as possible. As for moving hair, you can fake it a little to good effect without having to animate or HAVOC every strand, check out the hair in Rockband.

Sign me up for the non-clipping group! In CoH/CoV if you had a cape you had to have short hair or it looked stupid, always a disappointment.

'Nother thought, give me the option to stripe the hair instead of blending two tones together.

Player-Designable.

It solves the whole problem.

The way this game looks, it seems very few people will ahve ALOT of alts, so a long tedious character creation wont be a problem so long as players understand. Designable hair styles means more player input, but so what? They'll get the look they want to keep them playing that one character ti it's full potential.

You're just jealous 'cause Ghost Widow won't share her hair care secrets with you :p

I'd just like to see some variety in male hairs styles. In CoX the styles available to males were severly limited until recently.

Well, yeah. I think she's mad about that whole betrayel thing.

But I like Starshot's idea for hair. I'm trying to think of how that level of customization could be used inappropriately and I'm drawing a blank so far.

Eh, someone will know.

As long as the dredlocks in Champions aren't the abysmal dung pile they were in CoX, I'll be happy.

No... seriously.

If there's something resembling the Wedge option in CoX, I'll be happy.

Hair that you can put more than one color in and/or color patterns on? Like Rogue's skunk stripe or War Witch's green striped hair?

Yeah, I'm going to jump on the 'cool color patterns' bandwagon too.

He's got a point here. Rockband did a great job with the way hair looked and moved in that game. So that would be a good template to look at. I will say this:

Give me a $%*$%ing ponytail with no lose strands of hair so I can have my toon were goggles or shades and not have the loose strands clip through the glasses!!!

Thing is, thats not an MMO with several dozen characters standing around in the same place at once. For an MMO everything has to be slightly less pretty so that you don't blow up someone's graphics card trying to render it. Remember not everyone has the top of the line hardware, all this stuff has to run on the minimum spec machine too.

Braids - I want braids! A single braid in teh back, two braids on the sides... these would make me happy! CoX gives us loopy braids and fancy braids and braids ala Star Wars but we get no just average, normal bradis!

Oh, and the ability to color just the bangs/front of the hair would be nice but I'd still rather have braids.
