Is the release date for the Xbox 360 version the same as PC?

No one knows, but the general idea seems to be no, as Cryptic has announced the PC release date and has not mentioned the Xbox.

It has been said in several place that the PC version will be released first followed by the Xbox a few months later and thats mainly due to the red tape between Cryptic and Microsoft. My guess is probably anywhere between October and early 2010.

Champions Online will be one of 360’s first MMOs, Cryptic design boss Bill Roper has told VG247, and has promised there won’t be a “huge gap of time” between the PC version on June 14 and the console SKU.

You enjoy posting that don't you lance. I enjyo reading it. I'm gunna take a guess, an educated guess and say 3 to maybe 5 months after. Heed this though, 5 months after would I guess be November which is what game informer had predicted so there ya go.

Sounds about right. I'd give them atleast 4-6 months for the Xbox release.

I was on Amazon the other night and I typed Champions Online in the search box and they had a listing for the Xbox 360 version right under the PC version. Amazon had September 30 listed as the release date but I am thinking this is wishful thinking on Amazons part, or did I miss an announcement by Cryptic???

Lame, I was really hoping sense the controls seem to be so easy to convert to a controller they would release at the same time.

Looks like i'll have to wait even longer now for the game. As I will not be getting it for PC.. I already have enough games on this computer ><..

You can always buy the PC version and use a USB connected Xbox controller. There's been loads of people using this in BETA, and Cryptic already stated they built the game to run on the controller first, and then translated it for the PC keyboard.
