Character creator?

I noticed on the main homepage for Champions, there is "Rate my champion" link. Is there a character creation tool, and if so how do you get access it? Is it a beta only thing?

It's just a beta thing, those characters are from people who have gotten into the beta.

I'm wondering how far (if at all) that you can get away from looking too humanoid. I read something about being able to run on all fours. If that's true then it could be promising. I would love to just glide just off the ground for my magic based character.

Maybe there's a version of fly that allows that.

Yes, you can run on all fours. On creation there'll be an option of how your champion "stands" - it was said before in a Q&A session with the cryptic team.

As for the Rate My Champion, yes, BETA players have access to a half-functioning game that allows them to play & create their champions for testing purposes. Cryptic puts these on the Rate My Champion page for everyone to look &, well, rate.

As for levitating, I don't think there is an option for that yet. They revealed flying, rocket boots and ice gliding, so I guess what you can do is pretty much never list off the ground by choice.

I started going back over the rate my character screens and found some interesting stuff. Like we can go headless (http://www.champions-online.com/rate_my_champion/29995). Here's a wolf type head (http://www.champions-online.com/rate_my_champion/46532) but not the one I had seen before. Come to think about it the one I saw before was more doglike. I want to say bulldog.

I saw a guy with a shark head. I can't seem to find it but I believe his name was "Land Shark".

I know I've read it/seen it somewhere but I've forgotten where, apparently you do get to choose a "hovering" stance for you character. I link to it soon as I find it.
