besides character creation im very interested in how quickly one levels up.
Im an old school EQer,3 level 80s and such, ive played numerous MMOs and i love to level new characters as soon as one hits the top.
has anyone heard an inkling on how quickly levels are attained?
WoW wasnt horrible,3 or 4 weeks to get to 80 if you put in alot of time per day.
and i read all of nexus' post and it seems to me the only "talent points" you get are applied to skill.
is this correct?

My first run through took me about 45 or so minutes, but once you finish the last big instanced mission you're offered the chance to level up at a terminal and wow is it ever quite the level up.
At this point you should be level five, and you get to pick three things: a new power, a super stat and your travel power.

yeah i had read that but the first 5 levels says nothing about after that.
like in warhammer getting to level 20 was easy peasy but after level 20 it took a lifetime to level up,especially on a low pop server with long arse scenario queue times.
thanks for responding just the same.i guess i was just being hopeful for more info that i hadnt read yet :)

It really will depend on how many hours a person plays per day, what they spend their in-game time doing (Since some players will be RP'ers, some will just hang around and chat etc).
Obviously at this time the only people who have a decent idea on the level rate are those in beta and Crptic themselves. Personally i'd like to think Cryptic have balanced the levelling system nicely, but we shall have to wait and see ;)

don't be silly! you don't LVL up in this game, you stay at the same power the whole game. and during that time you learn about YOURSELF

Ok, perhaps I am being picky here, but as an old school EQer shouldn't you have learned patience? :D
Pre-kunark grinding comes to mind...
Or, perhaps you mean EQ2?

Oh, I don't know. I think that game sucked out the ability of a lot of peoples patience
