I don't think one or the other is better as it comes down to personal preferrence. I like the 360 because of the controller, it just feels natural in your hands.

But it's nothing near the main focus. Once the PS3 came out, it instantly shifted towards that console as the new thing and the "console war" officially started once all 3 had finally came out. God of War 2 was the final big title for the PS2 and that came out in 2007. After that it was just little games here and there, so i don't really count that as "collecting titles."

the ps3 supposedly had a 10 year replacement plan (so no new system for awhile yet) the xbox3 should already be nearing completion as MS had a more traditional 5 year lifetime expectation. I'd expect a new xbox to be announced sometime next year at the latest with a ps4 maybe not being announced as sony's shareholders are pressuring them to move away from the expense..

i am pretty sure the underdog will win, well not underdog really because it has had the most sales a LOT in the past, and with a new triple A title coming out and Red Steel 2...

but i guess people that like Wiis prefer inventive games are large varieties, because IMO most of the popular xbox games (or the ones i here people talking about ) are FPSs and make the occasional multiplatform rpg or fighting games (fallout 3 and soul calibar) but anyways, the PC dominates all the best RPGs, no NOT wow, i was thinking ... well i am not up to date on any NEW ones...

If a system no longer takes titles, it is dead. If a system takes any title, no matter how insignificant it is, it is still safe to say it is alive.

Ps3 hardware has the longer life expectancy. Just because as Carmack pointed out, the new texture engines can run 20 gigs worth of texture and the DVD won't cut it unless you want lots of discs.

I prefer the Xbox 360 for the free D/L content you can get just by playing games and the installable discs allow me to load reallly fast.

9/10 times I can't tell the difference between them when it comes to graphics. I think the Xbox is easier for companies to program for.

I think you get more for your money when you buy a PS3, though maybe not so much since the backwards compatibility ended. Still, not bad for a Blue-Ray/DVD, multimedia center, and game console.

As exclusive titles become rare, the real difference becomes less obvious.
