So did Professor Ape teach Dr Silverback everything he knows?
Also does this mean there is a whole Gorilla university?

Hey, it wouldn't be a comic-book world without a bunch of talking apes running around. ;)
Dr. Silverback was a creation and assistant of the criminal scientist Dr. Phillippe Moreau (yes, the grandson of that Dr. Moreau), who's continued and advanced his ancestor's work "evolving" animals and creating human-animal hybrids. However, Champions Earth also includes an entire Kingdom of the Apes, an underground city of intelligent mutant gorillas hidden in Africa.

Very nice that Champions has a Super Gorilla Society. I always found the characters interesting and highly amusing (esp the DC guy..Grod/Grog?!).
Also explains my fondness for Professor Ape and his avatar ;)

But until it ends it will be comedy gold. Imagine a whole city of poo flinging, hooting, and other funny things monkeys do. You couldn't write a funnier scene.
What is more fun then a barrel of monkeys? A city of monkeys.
