Are there 2-handed hammers?

I am new to the community and have tried the search function.
My question is, are there 2-handed HAMMERS in the game? I can see there is a "Single Blade" power, but no hammer powers. Is the single blade power set put together with a hammer?

I don't believe this has been answered anywhere... I've read much of the FAQs and press previews... you might want to post the question on one of the sites (like massively or Bio break blog) that did press previews as they may be able to answer it :)

I too would like to know if hammers are available in any form since traiditonally my warrior type characters use hammers :p

Yes, I would make a giant armored dude, jumping at people, swinging with 120* pounds of raw power.

* Yes, it's at least 6-8 times more than a standard sledge hammer. But we're talking about superheroes, no? It can be an adamantium/titanium hammer.

Well i do hope they have a 2-handed Hammer style. I was looking forward to my Fire-Thor type character lol

Yes there are two handed hammers. Where you have a two-handed weapon, you have a choice to change it's appearance. Changing it's appearance would either be just for looks, while changing it could also affect it's damage properities (i.e. from slash, to pericing, to blunt)

It was stated in the interviews that he said something very similar to this. You have to go to Nexus's Sticky Faq in this section. Look up weapons, and follow the links to the interviews. Did you have to select the Single Blade Style to use powers from it? Does it differ from a 2-handed sword?

I'm not sure people were asking about costume pieces. I think they were talking about weapon use as in 'powers'. Hopefully there is something in the realm of a hammer though, as I have a nice character concept that could use one.

the mention of costumes was an example of they didn't say everything about it, just like they didn't say everything about weapons. They didn't say there wasn't hammers, they didn't say there was. They did say suggestions and clues that you could piece together that suggests the properties of a hammer.

Even in traditional rpgs there are 2-handed hammers. Even in comics there are heroes with 2 handed hammers. I don't think they are going to over look another popular weapon since the dawn of fantasy games and fiction.

Going by the list of powers posted in that interview the other day, I doubt there is a hammer power ingame at present. What you'll likely get though, is the power replacers they mentioned - They said some would be simply cosmetic while others would change the functionality of the power. I would imagine that a hammer would fall into the latter category, and alter the damage type of a single blade power to be smashing instead of lethal. Of course, it'd still be one-handed so maybe the best you can hope for is a one-handed hammer.

I haven't seen anything about it. But I wouldn't be surprised if choosing dual wielding gave you a choice of hammers.
