Not meaning to be rude, because I am not the best at proper grammar myself, but have you heard of punctuation? Not typing a 5 line run on sentence would make your posts easier to read and understand.

As far as RP is concerned, I would love to see RP. However, it has been my experience that RP, even on a RP server, tends to be very very minimal.

I was wondering this very same thing. I've been fortunate to have had four great years on CoH/V on Virtue, with actual superhero RPing.

If people with Xboxes have no keyboard, it will be problematic for RP, I'm assuming. Also, as someone who has never had the Ventrilo or TS stuff, because you don't need it for CoH, will that become a hardship on Champions Online?

I've played Champions tabletop since 1988, and it wasn't all about dice and the system. It was about getting to roleplay as your character, play out their story and write their lines in the live comic book.

I'm also hoping it won't be twitch-based. That was the main reason I couldn't play Auto Assault or Tabula Rasa.

As for this I'm sure there will be "just rp" servers.

As for communication between both PC and XBox360. I played FFXI(Final Fantasy XI) on the 360 so I do have some experience with this, and both PC and 360 users can play on the same server.

The 360 uses its own thing, called Private chat,"the only way to chat by headset with other players is to invite that player to the private chat once you had found out their gamertag. As for typing you can just plug in a regular USB keyboard into your 360 controller slot and it will work exactly like a keyboard. Or you can get the new 360 controller that has a little keyboard attached to it, which I hear is pretty good :)

Also, Xbox 360 is USB compatible and recognizes USB keyboards.

Thanks. Good to know that there's the potential for telling our own stories, instead of just mindlessly clicking and going through someone else's staticly written tale. The cake is not a lie.

in all reality whenever i join a RP server ill RP when needed but as a lot of ppl do, i join RP servers to try to get away from the "im so uber leet and you suxorz" immature high schoolers, mind you im not saying all high schoolers are annoying but there are some kids you just want to punch in the throat.

Roleplay may be minor on RP servers...but it IS there. I'm all for a RP server, with RP rules. What makes an MMO fun, oft-times, is the people, not just the game itself.

Me, i've always done my best to RP in all MMOs. after all, there is the whole 'RPG' part of MMORPG.

as for communication over xbox, there is a controller that comes with a keyboard attachment, or you can buy the attachment and add it onto an existing one I believe.

I played CoH through beta and for about a year afterwards. I met some really awesome people with great RPing skills who came up with great and original backstories for their characters. but most of the people i met were ***holes who didnt evenin know what RP meant. but thats most MMOs

That's a matter of great concern for me, too...

Even if there isn't s server designated as RP, the players who are interested are sure to get together and decide upon one server for them all to meet. It happened with Virtue and I am sure it would happen again here.

I'm sure like in CoH the RP'ers will declare an "unofficial" RP server and congregate there.

This time let's pick one that starts with 'M'

"Begun has this lesbian catgirl war."

The epic story of how Sunstroke went to the rp server , and rerolled (fell to the darkside) as Catgirl X the cybernetic half cat , half girl catgirl.

Well FF11 is already on the 360 and there is a keyboard for the system so im sure there may be an option for both just like with CoH/CoV, some people use that team speak or whatever, i personally choose to just type but thats me. It would be the same for when i played FF11 on PS2, in which case i could only take 10 minutes of playing that without a keyboard and trying to communicate, basically im sure most people wont have the tollerance to go without a keyboard.

Times have changed and more and more team speak/ventrilo is becoming the norm. Eventually I have a feeling only the RPers will be using keyboards to chat among teammates. And it doesn't help that games are becoming more twitch based (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).

well, one thing for sure. You'll have a good idea whether your hot sexy blond spadex wearing teammate is a real dude or a girl. :)

Oh, here's an amusing one - didn't one of the Korean big games make playing your own gender part of the ToS - violations resulting in lifetime banning? I recall reading they wanted your personal info and wouldn't let you play whatever type of character you wanted. Sheesh.

To the original TC.

There is a very high chance we will see RP servers (if there is a server split) due to the fact that the Champions PnP is very RP oriented.

Best regards,

IIRC, there's actually a small keyboard that attaches to the 360 controller.

Alas, I never ran into you on Virtue. Played there a couple three years, though.
