(In Character) : After the Destruction of Detroit, and the birth of Millennium City, the Galactic protector known as the Celestial Centurion commissioned his brother, known as the Grae Knight, to rebuild a legion of those committed to protecting and defending the innocent people of not only Millennium City but the entire world. Given his Charter, the Grae Knight has gathered superheroes of all origins together to fight the growing shadow of evil.

(Out of Character): We are a gathering of folks who enjoy playing MMOs together. We are not exclusive to just Roleplayers, as we will have casual to heavy RP players, as well as Power gamers, PvPers, Traders and economic gurus. we Do not judge a person on thier playstyle, but on thier character. Biggest two rules you have to follow: Treat everyone the way you would want to be treated, with fairness and respect. #2: have Fun!!

(In Character) : The League of Titan is an eclectic group of heroes, come together for a simple purpose. To protect those who cannot protect themselves. This ranges from individual members patrolling the streets to combat crime, to full fledged task forces to take on major problems. Members are also involved in various charity projects of a less combative nature. Anything from food drives and park renovations to saving the world.

(Out of Character): Our strength is a great sense of family and community. We run the gamut from die hard role-players to the most efficient min/maxers to the absolute causal player.

Our purpose is to create a community of friends who enjoy all the aspects of multiplayer gaming. This includes:
1. Facilitating grouping
2. Facilitating roleplaying (although this is not a requirement for membership, it is encouraged), both in-game and on our forums. This includes helping players flesh out their characters' history, enriching the playing experience.
3. Facilitating technical and strategic discussions about character creation and game play; and
4. Fostering a sense of community through casual conversation on our forums and in any global channels in-game.

The Guardians are a group of heroes brought together by fate in order to protect the world from the dangers that might otherwise befall. Although the world has changed much since the formation of the original incarnation of the Guardians and people no longer think the way they used to, the Guardians keep the mentality of true heroes and strive to maintain these ideals.

Located in the magnificent Guardian Tower in Millennium City, the Guardians keep an eye out for trouble across the globe. Although we are not funded or under the command of any armed force, we maintain a cordial relationship with the United Nations and many world governments and will help out in any way we can when asked to.

We also maintain a relationship with certain alien and inter-dimensional races as well as having our very own Atlantean in our ranks. We are made up of all heroes regardless of gender, nationality or species.

As a sort of commander by foundation, the media likes to make me look like a villain, and to make my nemeis look like a hero. But so what?

If you've been framed and hated, if your powers function well at night or in darkness, or if you're just misunderstood, join the Lunar Knights. We will bring light upon the darkness, to show it's true myserty, we are Lunar Knights.

Description: (taken from the first post in our thread) So what are we about? We're the "good guys", the "white hats" who always come to the rescue. Think along the lines of gold and silver age type costumes with modern ideals. "Truth and Justice" are our primary goals but with room for diversity of all types no matter where you are from.

What are we not? We're not close minded but characters such as Lord Darkity Dark of the Highest Dark Darkness will get a hard look. Lord Death and Captain Kill Them All will not be tolerated. Yes there are a bunch of us that wear the colors of the flag but there is a difference between being patriotic love for our country and using it as an excuse to destroy people for political or selfish means.

Think of this team along the lines of the JSA, Titans, JLA, Avengers. Some of the old timers are even training the younger heroes to take their places when they retire.

We are a role playing team meaning we are focused more on the storyline than on what level you earned that day. And strive to have everyone involved in events happening around us. If you are interested please let us know and we'll be happy to talk with you.

Future Dynamics is an enclave of scientists that develop some of the most advanced defensive technology on earth. Unbeknown to the public, every one of its brilliant minds is also a superhero. The "business" is run on the first three floors of a skyscraper in downtown Millennium City. The "team" operates out of the sub-basement 100ft below the building. The goal of Future Dynamics is to create a community of friends who enjoy all the aspects of Champions Online multi player gaming. Our goals will include:

1. Being very involved with the "crafting" system (we ARE a technology company). I envision this being an important part of the organization.

Shades of Grey Investigations is a moderate roleplay group based around the concept of a detective agency employing people with super abilities. These heroes use their skills to solve the cases of clients and investigate the other mysterious aspects within the city. The cases, as well as the clients and other characters they interact with, are heavily Film Noir inspired, often with extraordinary aspect which requires more than your average detective. All the rules of noir apply, where things and people often are not what they appear to be.

The Sphere is a all encompassing force that connects the members of the Sphere with a inherent link to one another. The members of the Sphere - Earth, Aire, Fire, Water, Life, Death, Light, Darkness, have been inhabited by there respective element. How the element inhabited them is up to them, but once they were inhabited, they were linked together forever. This inhabitation can either have been synergized with you or simply living within you, your choice. In some fashion this link transcends space and time, to a degree that we actually know where each other are at, if we are in pain, and a host of other intuitions about each other. This could be a great concept to RP about.
Messge to Interested parties:
The Sphere is going to remaing recruiting players for teams on multiple servers. At this time were opening up recruiting again for an additional 24 members. This would create at least 4 teams of 8 that would be created on 4 different servers. When we know how many servers there will be we will add teams to the others servers as well. Fair enough. Well let the Guardians be the first to post ours here.

We are a role-playing Super Group made up of four smaller sub-groups. The idea behind having the groups split up is that we will have the benifits of a larger group (large group base and chat) while maintaining the benifits of a small group (more in-depth role-playing story lines and more personal connections).

Over all the theme of the group is a Silver Age group. We believe in the Silver Age ideals, but we keep the modern mentalities. As stated above the group is broken up into four sub-groups. The Guardians is the main group and it is a "best of the best" kind of team up akin to the Avengers or the JLA. The Junior Guardians is a teen based group that s learnign to use their powers while having storylines much like the Teen Titans or X-men from the '60s. The Havoc Watch is a street level group that does jobs that the Guardians would otherwise be unable to do (due to PR problems or the need for stealth). The Havoc Watch has heroes akin to Daredevil (Miller run) or Batman, not the Punisher type. Finally, the Sentries are an intergalactic/interdimensional protector force akin to the Green Lantern Corp.

Over all we are a medium-hardcore RP group. We also have an interim Super-Group in CoH on the Liberty Server (chosen mostly for the light population since we are there just to play with each other).

We understand it is early on in the developmental phase of this promising MMORPG, but wanted to let you know that we are forming a mature, like minded Super Team, to have FUN! We don’t even have a team name yet, we are doing everything from scratch and looking for mature members to form a strong core player base for the Super Team! It will involve some RP, but not "heavy". We want to play and have fun, no drama or babysitting (This is the most important to us). We will eventually, over the next year have a dedicated Team Speak or Ventrillo voice client once we get closer to beta and actual game release. We just got our own custom site with forums that will continue to be worked on as time goes on, and we do have a recruitment thread going on the main CO forums. Maybe check us out, and yes, we don’t even have a name yet, but we want to work from ground up with our members! Thanx for your time!

We have members from age 20 to 50 (showing our vast diversity), we have both males and females, we have 3 published authors of comics, we have several very experienced table-top-gamers (with 10 to 20 years & beyond), comic fans, and MMORPG fans. We have members that will game on the PC and X-Box, we have members that span the globe, members from the Europe, Canada, East and West Coast of the U.S., and looking to continue to build, so that no matter what time zone you happen to live in, it won't be too difficult to find someone online! Hardcore RP OOC when necessary (asking questions, etc,no constant OOC banter)

Style: Authority/JSA/Stormwatch/Green Lantern Corps styled team, world watchers, world improvers, we are just as much farm builders and disease killers as we are villain fighters. Hopefully in game there will be more than just fighting missions.

Concept: We can't all be defender. Heck, some of us even have trouble getting into UNTIL. This is the Super team for every street level hero who only gets to tag along with the big names when they feel like they need some one to fill out the team. But the B list does not exclude! it really can't afford to. You don't have to just be street level. Quirky, misfit or deranged heroes are all welcome, regardless of power level.

A group founded by the Webmistress "Because it seemed like the sort of thing heroes do" it exists to help heroes by giving them strength in numbers, and a family of other freaks to belong to. The mood of the group is mostly lighthearted, although serious RP is welcome, so long as that doesn't mean brooding and angst ridden. The point of the group is first and foremost, to have fun.

a small group of would be adventurers. Bound together by a common goal, but with different reasons. To find "The Midnight Egg". It is said that this magical object can bring the wielder can command powerful magics and have unlimited power. However, no one knows if this "Egg" exist. Mayonaka Kouro is determined to discover this "Egg" and to protect it from evil's hands, or they intend to use it themselves for there own personal reasons. However it is told that who ever uses the object would consume there soul and would be doomed to walk this Earth for all eternity. Will our friends known as Mayonaka Kouro be successful in defending this object from ones that would use its power for evil? Or will they become a victim themselves of this righteous quest?

This is an "Anime" themed group. The groups name means "Midnight Run".

Suave and myself are the only "in command" people. Reason being is that we strive for the small team feel and wish to treat all members equally. We do not plan on making a huge group where "Ranks" would even need to put in play. (We are thinking about 20 members... Nothing huge...)

1. Japanese name is highly suggested.
2. We are not going to be your typical tights and mask wearing bunch hence trying to steer clear from the "Superhero" look.
3. Don't disrespect in any manner unless its RP.

5. Don't be an "overpowered" character. It's cool to have multiple abilities but try to have it simple. We are a TEAM not supermen.
6. Creativity. I know it will be hard to come up with ideas without even knowing what will be available for game. But if you could come up with ideas that you can see in an anime then that makes it all better.

The Story:

It all started with the nightmares.

Mykal Tannan had been plagued by disturbing dreams of darkness, destruction, and death. A spiritual man, he went through weeks of fasting, praying, and wise counsel which revealed the reason for his night visions: they were a prophecy of things to come.

A world changing event, dubbed by contemporary prophets as the Unknown Certainty, is on the horizon. God Almighty Himself was choosing Mykal to have a pivotal role in this milestone by finding others who were to be instruments of His divine hand whether they realized it or not. They were to be beacons of hope, goodness, and truth, marked by their character as well as their abilities. The hero's heroes.

Of these, Mykal is to find those that have a special star-shaped mark which signifies that they are one of The Twelve, men and women prophesied to have key roles in the Unknown Certainty. Foretold to last for 1000 days, it is said to change the world forever.

They are a new order of knights standing on the virtues of honor, courage, commitment, and purity. Heroes for a new age. A new era. A new millennium.

They are the Millennium Paladins.

Gameplay: The Millennium Paladins are a heavy RP SG. The plan is to have RP nights just like we do now on COH as well as keep IC about 85% to 90% of the time. We encourage RP in game and on our forums. We have an excellent system of reward and ranking in place currently and we'll tweak this for CO.

Membership: Experience has taught us that good people are hard to find. So are good SGs. So, we're toying with the idea of shutting the doors once we reach a certain number of solid players. Of those, we are looking for those who would want to become one of The Twelve. There are only four that have been found.

The time has come for an organization to be established; in order to protect the world not only from villains that may threaten it, but superheros that think that they are above the law. Today we find that the world relies to strongly on super powered vigilantes to protect them, but what would happen if they began to turn on us? This menace to society is in violation of many laws that a lesser being of power would be tried for to the full extent, one even being attempted murder. Without an organization built to regulate and keep watch over these so called heros; the innocent lives of planet earth could at one day face a serious crisis if and when these beings become to powerful.

That is where the H.U.M.A.N. project comes into play. This organization has been formed in order to keep balance to our planet. The H.U.M.A.N. project is made up of the best earth has to offer in the lines of soldiers, doctors, and engineers. We do not believe in the use of anything that man has not already created himself. The mutant abilities given to some and the unregulated power controlled by others must be stopped, and it is up to this organization to do it.

We want to set up a supergroup, in the european timezones, to play as a group in the Champions Beta (if we can get in) and the game proper when it goes live in July.

We are roleplayers and it is important that anyone joining the group is willing to roleplay and is sympathetic to roleplaying in general. This does not mean you have to be 'in character' 100% of the time, but if someone roleplays to you, please make the effort to roleplay back !

There are two different methods for characters to join the supergroup. We would like applicants to complete the questionnare (shown on our main thread), but your characters could have joined either via the 'talent show' Helman is running, or via 'private essay' if they want to keep their real identity a secret.

Please note that the 'talent show' is a character storytelling device - we're not actually going to be running an X-Factor style selection process.

Two years ago, the third generation of The Vanguard were torn apart when three of their members were killed or incapacitated, the remaining three went separate ways but now, with the rise in superpowered villainy, Atlas breaks out of his depression and begins fighting for the innocent once again. Will you join him in the Fourth generation of The Vanguard?

*The Vanguard is a medium RP group, posts should be made in character whenever possible, but breaking of the fourth wall is allowed. (This means that you can ask relevant questions out of character, or have your character address another person directly)

*The aim of the group is not to focus on numbers, but on community. The Avengers are a small group, the original Justice League the same - this guild will grow over time but as of now my aim is to create a small core group of Heroes, the Vanguard as it were for the army this guild may one day grow into.

*Application on this thread should be made in a role-play format, with a character either approaching the Guardtower or Atlas himself. This being said, you are free to ask questions out of character.

*For now, friendship and community are the primary goals of the guild but in the future a successful PvP team and group of partners is the ideal.

*The Vanguard is primarily a silver age style group, embodying all the traditional ideologies of the superhero genre. While Atlas' past contains a great tragedy, it is from tragedy that true heroes rise and it is the glory of heroism that this team embodies. Past incarnations of the team were well known heroes so characters should already know of the team though think it abandoned.

(In Character): As threats to Millennium City and the world began to re-emerge by the year 2009, a secret Canadian organization known as CANEDO (Canadian Emergency Defense Operations) initiated project Zeta under the leadership of General Jarus Oliver Cooper.

Immediately upon its inception, Cooper recruited a man by the name of Nicholas Pryor. Pryor was a mutant - a person with abnormal genetic material that caused him to have superhuman abilities. With those abilities and under Cooper's guidance, Pryor became the Canadian Crusader and a founding member of Zeta Force.

Zeta Force's mandate was to recruit all able-minded superhumans to their cause against the evil that spanned the Earth and to protect the innocent civilian population who mostly had no control over the events that were unfolding around them.

With a force nobody could stop, and the most advanced military, scientific and computer technologies at their disposal, Zeta Force was officially activated on August 4th, 2009. All computers at the Zeta Headquarters in the Canadian Rockies were switched on. Zeta Force was ready to protect.

I posted this on another forum a while back, but since we're planning on being an RP SG I suppose I should post here as well. We don't have a website or anything, we will set one up eventually if there is enough interest.

The Ka'Tet: RP Supergroup loosely based on the Stephen King Dark Tower Novels. The one and only requirement for the guild in game is that to become a member the applicant must have at least one munitions power, it is a group of gunslingers after all... Well that's a question you're going to get a lot of answers to. Roleplaying is playing your character; basically like acting out how your character thinks, talks, their motivations and so on. Most have a background history written out for their character, have given their character a personality and a motivation as to what they're doing and why.

In comics, you can't really go "too over the top"; there are so many demi-god vampire archangels that you'd be hardpressed NOT to find one, but one of the most common mistakes of new characters is picking a really overdone storyline (there are soooo many orphans who have been trained to be lethal for some reason or another for example) or just copying their favourite anime/comic character. It's perfectly okay to start out small and simple. Then give yourself time to build up from there.

And now, my own Superteam

The Pack is a superteam concept for characters who are playing more "feral" characters. Primarily based on the social structure of wolves, the Pack will primarily be comprised of characters who are wolf-based humanoids; whether they obviously LOOK like wolves, or are wolves without the wolf costume options, or maybe are human and just THINK like a predator, you're welcome to join us.

Please note that we are a rp-FIRST Superteam. We are not rp lite/rp never. We will be concentrating on PvE and PvP as far as mechanics are concerned, but we will always be finding and creating ways for this to weave into our superteam storylines.

We are also a rp-interactive superteam. Rp is for everyone, whether they are part of our team or not. Rp is a community effort and I encourage people to interact with other teams, help them out, or ask if we need their aid.

A few things addressed below:

Structure:

Alphas These are the main officers of the pack who make sure things run smoothly; it's not merely a title, but a duty. The hope is to have Alphas in several time zones, who handle various aspects of the guild gaming, are capable of writing up storylines, recruiting, or dealing with little "messes".

I'm looking for a team that will fit my own personal ideals, as I'd like to force them on my poor defenseless character - so here's the group I'm looking for:

1. Yadda yadda the usual, you know the shpiel: great community, members-centric, friendly atmosphere. You know who you are!
2. Non-governmental. I don't want a group sanctioned by any governments, city or otherwise. I want something independent.
3. No gung-ho blast 'em all take no prisoners types. I did a search on the front page for the word "peace" and got nuffin'. I'm looking for a group who ultimately wants peace, and not "peace by any means necessary." That just ends up becoming "some perverted notion of 'peace' by the most violent means possible."

I may end up having to do this on my own. I do have web space reserved for a site I'm putting together, and I also happen to be a web designer/developer by trade. I'd be willing to utilize some of it as a guild portal.

Heya. I'm also looking for a more hard-core RP group, people not afraid to RP even among the OOCers out there. I have two characters as of now:

Shin Gigant who is a robot created through the mutual sciences of the U.S.A. and Japan in the hopes of creating a better relationship. Although without Human Emotion, Shin Gigamt can replicate it it most easily and is capable of applying a moral standard to his judgements on enemies rather then cold Logic. He has no humanoid features, being entirely robotic x]

Blood Bolt (Katreya Golden) was one as normal female of the human species. However, after being struck by lightning due to an excess of vanity and beautification in the form of accessories and jewelry, Katreya was admitted into the Hospital and bed-ridden. Close to deceasing, Katreya's blood had somehow been 'charged' and gave off intense bioelectrical energy. This energy was similar to an Electric Eel and could generate crimson (colored due to the trace amounts of her own blood in them) arcs of lightning from her very fingertips. By using her power, Blood Bolt decreased the amount of activity in her system and stabilized herself. As such, unless she uses her powers- she could die. Rather then turn to evil, Katreya donned a crimson costume completed with thunder decals and ornaments and took the name Blood Bolt. After successfully making her name known through minor assistances with local crime- she was called to aid in a support role for the Invasion that recently took place. Forced to take action, Blood Bolt defended the civilians rather then rush headlong into battle and saved countless lives. Her inability to take someone's life, however (even the enemies) has led to her being called a wimp by other Heroes and makes her lack fighting spirit.
