We welcome you to the "Collaborative Super Team Information Thread".

We would like to welcome those of you who may be searching for a Super Team to maximize your fun and gameplay, for the Champions Online MMORPG experience. This thread was started in the hopes to make it easier for our fellow Heroes and Heroines to get a general over view of all Super Teams that are currently recruiting in the Champions Online Recruitment section of the Champions Online Community Forums. Our format, or over view, should make it easy for both Super Teams to promote themselves, and prospective Heroes and Heroines to "quickly" review Super Teams they might want to join, and "quickly" review the features of the Super Team that may suit them exclusively.

While we feel it is easy to comprehend, the examples below should help aid you if there are difficulties in understanding the format.

We're creating a Super Team from the Ground up, and it's never too late to be a part of it!

Our group is based off of having Seven Squad leaders. Each Squad Leader will have their own squad. We are building from the ground up. We still are in need of Squad Captians all except 1, 5, and 7.
Each Squad will have their own choice for a theme. As long as it dont go against any group decisions we make.

Whats the Point in having Squad Leaders?
The reason for having Squad Leaders is so every member of the group will have someone that they will be able to reach for any reason. Weather it be an idea for a group change or to tell them that you will be gone for a period of time. They are also there to help our newer members get use to the group and any other help they will need. Our Squad Leaders are not babysitters or Refs, they wont hold your hand through the game.

We dont have a motto yet. Nor do we have any team colors.

Role Playing: Medium - Heavy. It is MANDATORY, you dont need to weave your big story, but if you want to, it's greatly encouraged.

PvP (Player Vs. Player): None - Medium. PvP will be handled (if it's in the game) in a team sense, probably functioning as small 3 man strike teams that work in tandem. For Solo PvP, we'll figure that out as it comes.

PvP (Player Vs. Player): No. Past experience has led me to believe that Superteams that focus on PvP are generally not as fun to the casual player as regular STs, so we do not actively promote or engage in PvP activities. We do not prevent our members from engaging in PvP, but simply require that they do not play on behalf of our ST, lest we be given a bad name due to a player's actions.

Special Notes or Super Team Mission Statement: As I said above, our ST will be primarily character based. It is based on a comic book team that the leaders (RazeRequiem and myself) are writing. We ask that every member bring a unique and interesting character to the team, as they are the most fun. We do ask that prospective members put some thought into their characters, as names such as H4xx0r are strongly discouraged. Our ST's theme is the Silver Age, and as such we ask that all members and characters adhere to such ideals and themes. Other than that, we look forward to seeing more members soon. We are a GLBT (and friends) themed supergroup. More than just a social club, we hope to offer support and nurture for those in need, as well as a fabulous superbase with wet bar, dance floor and jacuzzi.

Age Limit: An age limit is not in place. Certain sections of our forums are restricted by age due to possibly mature themes, but participation in these sections is completely voluntary for all members.

Online Voice Client: Not a requirement. We do use a teamspeak server on occasion, and do at times make use of in-game voice chat when it is available, but we do not require our members to use it.

Role Playing: Light (Supported - Not required of the member, but encouraged) - RP is something that we highly encourage, as we feel it helps beuild the character and the environment, leading to a more enjoyable experience for everyone. Special Notes or Super Team Mission Statement: (In Character) : The League of Titan is an eclectic group of heroes, come together for a simple purpose. To protect those who cannot protect themselves. This ranges from individual members patrolling the streets to combat crime, to full fledged task forces to take on major problems. Members are also involved in various charity projects of a less combative nature. Anything from food drives and park renovations to saving the world.

Special Notes or Super Team Mission Statement: I am known as Godswarrior, the last remaining Son of Sparta, an empire forgotten. The son of the greatest race of brawlers and fighters to ever walk the face of the Earth. With the looming threat of Doctor Destroyer and the other leagues of villains who value money, power, and destruction over the lives of the people who are defenseless, I was sent back here, to Millennium City to recruit and team up with the best heroes I could find and meet this threat head on. About me: My name is Godswarrior(and no, this is not a religion based group). I have looked through the current offering of Superteams and have not found one that peaks my interest yet. I want a team of dedicated heroes who love to help and defend the weak. A team that looks out for each other like they were family, like they were Spartans.

My real name is Chad. I am an avid gamer who loves MMOs. I played City of Heroes for a good while. I was also involved in WoW and Guild Wars. All games in which i was a high ranking officer in my respective guild, before i had to take my leave from the game. As far as my character type, I will be choosing a character that favors a Warrior.

Now in terms of starting a Superteam, i am a n00b. But in terms of games in general, i am defiantly a seasoned vet since as far back as i can remember. I have been in a few MMOs and know the ropes. Since, this is the first team i will have created i will be making this a team effort. Any of you out there who want to help me build this team up, your help is more than appreciated.

The Team: I touched on it a little in the introduction, but the type of team i want is a close knit one. Not one where you are part of the team just to have a title, a group so that you are not alone, a team to use all of it's resources when you need it. I want all members to be involved in some way, shape, or form. Now that is not to say that you have to been on everyday or something like that. I just want decently active members who love to play the game and who love to have fun.

Characters: I really don't care what your character is, or his/her origin, or the powers. You can be a super energetic team player, a dark hero with a seeded past, who cares. Be yourself.

I do, however, find certain names annoying. I do not want to call upon Kitty McFluff, or some clever innuendo to help. It demeans the essence of what i am trying to build.

Colors: So far the primary color is Green and the secondary color is Black. I have yet to decided the second secondary color to highlight it all.

Requirements: If you are interested then add in your request the info about your character if you have one. The only restriction, as of now, is that you must be 14 or over. Otherwise, I only turn down people who are not active in the thread and the happenings of the team.

Special Notes or Super Team Mission Statement: The Alarius Imperium is an organization of anti-dishonorable PVP. Our main goal, would be to combat opponents that take advantage of other players in any given PVP scenario. Team Mission Statement:
As the name and cowl of the Cometeer has been passed on since the Medieval ages, so has the group the Nova Faction. While each iteration has varied to a degree, it has always been a force of unified heroes, all brought together by the century's Cometeer, and fortified by his cosmic force and named after the celestial body, the super nova. The group has a strong lineage of heroes who, despite varied personalities and beliefs, joined together for the noble cause of protecting those who cannot protect themselves, those oppressed by corruption, those beaten down, and even hunted by evil. They keep a near chivalrous attitude in their work as a hero as they know despite their power they are to be treated no different, not above the law, and not a puppet of corrupt law. They have survived almost a millennium fighting the good fight, and as the new Cometeer is named, this lasting group of protectors is also looking for names of those to join him. So if you feel you can set aside any differences you may have to be a true hero to all, then you may join the ranks of this faction.

How to enter:To enter,you must talk to one of the Arbiters of the Guild,named Monarch of Greenwich,and simply ask to join,as we'll take anyone.

Forbidden Fruit: Although cursing and talking like a sailor will be allowed,please,dont be a ****er and troll people,unless ofcourse you actually have some footing in what your saying about a person,then it becomes humorous.But say you call someone:"A ****ing Retard for failing to realise enemy NPC A was over their",then your likely to recieve some diceplenary action,like being demoted or being forced to give more to the SG under a certain amount of time.However,you simply say words like ****,****,or damn because that mish you just entered keeps kicking you and your teams ass,then thats fine,and perfectly acceptable.

Special Notes or Super Team Mission Statement: I figure that this section is perfect to explain the structure of Torment Gaming. At its core Torment is a gaming community that branches into multiple games across multiple genres. Champions Online is just one of those sections.

The way Torment works is that there are a leading group of members called Founders. They oversee the day to day operations of the community, site, and forums to ensure everything is running properly. It is the actual members of the community who can decide to step up and take on leadership of an individual game.

Currently as one of the founders I will be leading Champions for Torment until a member decides they have the interest to run it. The reason my answer in RP was difficult is because of the following.

We run what we call an open gaming community. Meaning it is possible that in one game we have multiple guilds across multiple servers, doing different things. Our primary aim for this initial guild is to be a semi-hardcore, both pve and pvp oriented guild. This would be so that we attract a wider audience for recruitment.

Once we begin to get an established memberbase it is possible a member may want to start a new Torment guild on another server for RP reasons and they are perfectly welcome to do so. We will go anywhere that our members want that our numbers can support.

Torment started from 4 friends (2 of which are brothers) who have been gaming for a very long time together. 2 of the founders are hosts of a very popular Star Wars:The Old Republic Online podcast called TOROcast (http://www.torocast.com) and through multiple requests from listeners decided they would start up a SWTOR guild.

While doing so we started to hear from other friends about other games they would like to branch into, obviously including Champions, so we decided to start the gaming community.

Welcome to the Vindicators recruitment thread.

We chose the name Vindicators because:
It came up in the thesaurus under the word champions and it looks cool as a logo.

Who are we?
We are a mature and family friendly super group based in Australia. We aim to see and enjoy as much content as possible while maintaining a fun and casual atmosphere. This team will be PC based and we will set up Vent once we start getting into content that requires it (i.e. group encounters). PVE will be our primary focus but we will get into what looks to be some promising PVP content.

Will we RP?
The truth be told I’ve never tried it before. I have nothing against it but I don’t think I could manage my time well enough to create a back story for my toon/toons and enjoy actually playing the game. You are welcome to RP but it will not be one of our primary focuses.

Recruitment:
Whilst recruitment is generally for everyone, we do ask that you be are 21ish or older. We also have a fairly structured team charter to ensure everyone is comfortable and able to play the game without feeling like they are wasting their time. In 1992 the city of Detroit was obliterated by Dr Destroyer as a last insult to the heroes that defeated his plans of global domination. That event shook the world and spawned many new heroes to take up the fight to protect the planet and even more villians to fill in the shoes of Dr Destroyer. About The Lost

When I first heard about Champions online I was immediately interested on becoming a Infamous Villain, I wanted to create a Villain Alliance That would put the Justice League and The Avengers to shame. The reason I chose the name "The Lost" is because as Villains we have lost our way in our sense of Justice and use our abilities for our own desires and goals. We are corrupted "Champions" into doing things that would lead us to obtain more power and therefore make others inferior to us. Now I haven't played the game yet since my Gamespot hasn't given me my BETA code (Lame!), but as soon as I get it I would love to have some supporters help make this happen you know? its best to create an Alliance now before the Game's release so that way we have a good amount of member that could not only help out our fellow Alliance members but bring Fresh blood as well.

On my sig is actually the official Logo for The Lost, Its a Reaper (which represents Death) Why? Because our Alliance (If this happens) will only bring Death to our enemies and the skulls behind the reaper belong to the fallen Champions (Heroes Especially) that have fallen to our power. I think it looks pretty cool, right?



Benefits?

Well we all played Wow right? I assume Champions Online will be the same when it comes to PVP and Looting rare items. Players become stronger in numbers (Although that's not always the case) and joining The Lost would prove beneficial in the long run, like helping other members find Items or help a fellow member in PVP when someone is being lame and keeps KOS'ing him/her (Believe me, its going to happen) and it gets really annoying when you have no backup. I don't know if Champion Online will have a Economy of some kind, if it does then pay will be included if The Lost turns out to have a big enough members base. I can't think of anything else right now. xD


Respect/Loyalty

This has to be about 99% of the reason why Guilds/Factions break, Drama means the more chances other members will question their Loyalty and then 6 members jump ship because NoveStar Keeps Telling Wondergirl that He's better then her in PVP and that she can't play right at all. Who cares!? You can be stronger then the Leader but does that mean you have to shove it in his/her face? Instead of fighting amongst ourselves on wondering who's the strongest, how about we show our enemies that WE as an Alliance are the greatest and far stronger then they will ever hope to achieve. Bragging rights for everyone if we destroy them and maybe have some beer if we convince some of their member to join our side (lol). We're all one big happy Family guys...made of Villains

Another thing I want to add is...Please Respect Female Players guys, this is ABSOLUTE. I'm not assuming that your disrespectful or anything like that but I have experience this before when I owned a guild in my Ragnarok days or when I was still playing Perfect World. Its cool we have female players in our Alliance, but can please not make them feel uncomfortable...it gets irritating that females complain because there are idiots that go over the line to get a girl's attention. I'm going to take this problem seriously, if you end up being at fault you will be banish from the Alliance. So lets keep is clean.

Project Paragon is dedicated to enjoying the game in a friendly atmosphere. We are a casual team that understand the fact that the real life of our members do have priority over playing an online game. Having fun is the goal of playing this game, and we do everything within our power to further that purpose.

History of Project Paragon:
Project Paragon grew out of the American WWII-era Weapon Alpha project. Weapon Alpha had been created to pave the way for so-called ‘Alpha Elites’, super soldiers fueled by the latest in battle armor and genetic enhancement. The project produced only a few viable superhumans, but elements in Washington saw promise in the project and merged it with research snapped up from the German Thule Society and created Project Paragon. Unlike Weapon Alpha Paragon was intended to create superhuman champions to combat the perceived Communist threat. Project Paragon fused American battle armor with Japanese cybernetics and German genetics. Combined with sorcery supplied by shadowy backers, the Project was able to create more battle-ready champions than any of its competitors.

The original Paragons (as they came to be known) were drawn from the American Armed Forces and were chosen for loyalty above all else. The Red Threat loomed on the horizon and paranoia was at an all-time high. By the 50s, though, only a few hot battles had been fought against the Soviet supermen, and Project Paragon began looking to space. The decade was spent mostly dealing with covert alien infiltration and remnants of weird science left over from the war.

By the time the 60s rolled around, the Project had begun producing more covert agents and superhumans intended to combat Soviet spies on American soil. Many of these early attempts were highly erratic, but some were successful beyond the expectations of their creators. Unfortunately, the mindset that creates a good covert operative, combined with the power of a demigod created an unprecedented number of rogue superhumans. Some of these rogues fell in with the ‘counterculture’ and word of Project Paragon spread to the superhuman community.

By the 70s, Paragon had perfected its techniques and was producing the most powerful superhumans the world had ever seen. The new army being grown might have ended the Cold War then and there if not for the revelation that elements within Project Paragon had been working on secret projects of their own. With aid from the European Next Step Group and its cutting edge genetic research, the secret project, dubbed “New Gods” was creating superhumans dedicated to a post-Nazi Aryan rebirth. Under the belief that the old gods had failed to support the Third Reich, the cell was creating “new gods for a new Reich”. The discovery of the New Gods sparked the most violent superhuman battles seen since WWII. The power of the champions involved shocked the world at large and experts began to speak of the ultimate superhuman conflict in terms hitherto reserved for nuclear war.

Project Paragon had been thoroughly purged of New God influence by the 80s, and government founding was being cut as the end of the Cold War approached. Public concern over the destructive potential of superhumans was another factor that forced the formerly flamboyant Paragons to adopt a more subdued attitude. With the spike in violent street-level crime, more and more superhumans were moving with the times and the ideals and credos of the past were being swept away in a flood of violence and a stream of bullets. The end of the decade saw more superhuman deaths than ever before and camaraderie fell to the wayside as cynical disdain for “outdated” methods and lack of trust in any authority was eroding the foundation of Project Paragon.

The 90s saw an influx of younger, often teenaged, superhumans and a lack of centralized control. The new breed of heroes were coming into their own and blazing new trails without mentors or tradition to guide them. It was only by the late 90s that a return to former heroic values and renewed government interest meant that Project Paragon came to the forefront again. Just in time, as it turned out, to combat a sudden assault by the revitalized New Gods. In an unprecedented effort of global cooperation, champion fought champion in all-out battles across every continent. By the time the dust settled, two things were clear; the New Gods were here to stay and the Paragons had re-established themselves among the premiere superheroes of the world.

The start of the new millennium saw a conflict of interest between the superhuman community and the government. It took a while, but the fallout was Project Paragon cutting its government ties and operating on private funding. This also led to many formerly patriotic heroes turning a critical eye to the doings of their own governments. Paragon had evolved from a military branch to a support network for champions willing to stand up for others and to combat any and all threats, foreign or domestic, that may arise.

Also, go buy yourself a $10 mic for your $800 computer. Heh, seriously though, Vent is great when you're on with cool people and you wouldn't be joining us if you didn't think we were cool.

Role Playing: If you want to role play, I'm always down for that, but you'll have to let me know ahead of time that you want to RP because you won't often find me in-character. Same goes for the other members of the SG.

PvP (Player Vs. Player): w00t! PvP! I'm far from an arena rat, but I spent about a month straight from level 30 to 40 in WoW running Arathi Basin and trying to put together a regular team (with limited success.) I loved arenas in WoW, and I think I'm going to like them here.

I love come up with strategies for PvP battles and execute them with a team that runs like a well-oiled machine. My goal is to get one or two teams together and have regular PvP nights once or twice a week.

Like I said in the Ventrilo section, Chronowatch is a social guild. My best memories of gaming have nothing to do with killing a hard boss or finding a totally sweet item. Joining MEGAFORCE isn't the easiest thing to accomplish, first you must already be MEGA. Second, you have to be willing to be more MEGA over time.

Continuity is a big thing in the comics, and it's a big thing for us.
