Did the devs/producers catch the similarities between the Doctors Fate and Destroyer? (Colors, helmets, names, costume design)

Because before it was obviously in the incorrect forum. I apologize if reading this again hurts your feelings or otherwise upsets you, but I wanted some feedback from a Cryptic Rep.

In answer to the original question (sorry, I missed the other thread):
The character began in the PnP version of the game as a stand-in for Dr. Doom. I don't know precisely what the trajectory was from there (through different editions of the game), but I think that the PoV of the designers was to make him look less like Doom. In doing so he probably just sort of evolved a Dr. Fate look. It's sort of like how Hedgehogs look like Porcupines even though they are not related. At least, that is my best guess.

Awww, its like Doctor Doom and Doctor Fate met up through Craigs list and ended up with a baby together.

His original look had kind of a purple zombie face and a helmet kind of like the Statsman from CoH. He changed a bit after he blew up detroit and started wearing the Dr. Fate helmet. Before he was always a Tech oriented villain with Soldiers, Robots and lots of weapons he either stole or invented. This Darkness stuff is new and very different for him
