Default Devchat Question Thread

We'll be holding another IRC Devchat this week on Thursday at 2PM PDT. I wanted to toss this thread up quickly to give you guys plenty of time to submit your questions in advance. Last chat's format worked out pretty well for everyone involved, so we'll do the same thing this time.

If you have a question to submit for this devchat, post it in this topic. Do not post anything except questions for the devchat in this thread, or they will be deleted. That includes: support for a previously submitted question, comments about a previous post, feedback about the game, or an answer to a submitted question.

When will we be seeing fixes to the Unity system so that we that we can actually complete all special assignments and get special assignments every day when we earn them?

What plans do you have to expand the nemesis and unity systems?

Are there plans/a timetable to give healers credit for defeats in PVP?

Is there a way we can change costumes a bit easier?

Not that it's terribly difficult now, but I feel like it could be a bit more intuitive ...

I like the alternate build system used for changing costumes (and builds, if thats what you use it for), but if I don't remember to upgrade my gear and power selections along with the costume every time I get a new piece of gear or power, I could unequip much better gear or not have a specific power after I change 'builds'. Right clicking on your portrait and clicking change costume works .. ok .. too, but it seems more complicated than it should be.

A question in relation to the powersets; PVE vs PVP , are these nerfs and tweaks to the powersets due to PVE balance concerns or the PVP gripes of a few players?. And a follow up, are we going to get a defense oriented powerset anytime soon?

=Can we expect large amounts of content/quests to be added to the entire range of levels or only at the upper end?
=Will we have the option of seeing our weapons in the tailor/creator so we can correctly assign colors?
=Are efforts being made to fix the current broken missions like Waterfront Watcher?

- Future -
=Regarding the Tailor/Creator, can we expect new costume options to only be made available through the C-store, or will the majority of options come free?
=Currently the only uses for Resources is Retcon and Costumes. The small amount of devices for sell seems like it could be expanded. Are there plans to offer costume unlocks and the like as something we can purchase with Resources?
=It was mentioned that you are working on a way to skip the tutorial. If this is done, will there be another zone available with lower level mobs to bridge the gap between the Tutorial and the ends of Crises zones?(1 to 10ish)
=Are there any long term plans to extend the size of the MC zone? I feel it's currently too small.
=What changes both short and long term do you have planned for the Nemesis system?
=A 4th personality type for the Nemesis was proposed in the Suggestions section call the Rival. Any chance we could get a Rival style option for someone that isn't trying to cause mayhem or take over the world?
=Will we be able to go back and fight our first Nemesis after we've progressed to the 2nd? First one's always special.

Is there any plans to add audio clues as to location of some clickies? Many can be found due to their size but, I am thinking of instances when you have a grey room and a grey floor and you are asked to find a mildly glowing grey briefcase.

I really enjoy the Tunneling travel power. It goes really well with the concept of my character. I would love to be able to tunnel vertically up things, but I'm thinking that will be a bit of work. The problem I'm having is trying to collect crafting nodes.

While tunneling, none of the crafting nodes show up on the minimap, and this makes it pretty slow and tedious to hunt for crafting components. Superspeed and the flying powers don't have this issue. Teleport seems to have the issue with actively TPing, but the difference with Teleport is that, you are regularly coming out of TP (unlike tunneling where you stay submerged, and it is very easy to quickly turn on and off the power to update the minimap with nodes (Emerging from Tunneling is instant, but submerging take several seconds).

I was wondering. What are the things you really enjoy about Tunneling, and also what are the ideas you have to tweak it? If any.

Can we get more detailed information on what to expect in the Cryptic Store and how much things will cost? If not, when will this info be released?

Is the game balanced around PvP, PvE, or both equally?

If you could be one Super VILLAIN, who would it be? Why?
