Default Crypt feedback (Not a good one)

Free 13 defeated heroes captured by Takofanes. Genius and exciting concept made boring.
(skip the next paragraphs and cut to the bold text to get to the point)

The way cryptic developers and content designers think worries me, they have failed to understand what gamers want. The crypt instances were exactly the same, and there was NO challenge involved. I didn't notice if the end mini-boss was different in each of the 13 instances. We barely took any damage and they were dead after 20 seconds. We had to repeat the same instance 13 times. This is not what we mean with MORE CONTENT! I was pretty sick of bloodmoon after the "in memorian" perk was complete.

Please find a balance between too difficult and too easy, stop making tank and spank bosses. Add some strategy to instances. Remove the icons above bosses heads, and make clearer spell animations instead. The icons have made it too easy for us, and too difficult for you to balance bosses, because anyone with half a brain knows when to block (and you counter this by creating bosses that are overpowered.... you are countering your own game design!)

Also, if you decide to add mission objectives to spice up an instance, make it something different then the "free NPC" or the "activate object" script. Running up to something that flashes and spamming Z is worn out now.

I enjoyed the bloodmoon PvP map and werewolf/hunter events were decent, but the crypt instances were tedious and boring


I really hope people agree with me on this, as a gamer I'm not exaggerating anything, the game content quality is poor compared to even old standards. I can't imagine that anyone actually enjoyed doing the exact same instance 13 times, even if it did reward costume pieces and action figures.


So please, content designers, take note:
- A bunch of brainless mobs does not mean a bunch of fun (I'd rather have 3 challenging ones)
- Copies of the same dungeon does not count as more content

As awesome as the concept behind Bloodmoon was, I agree the execution of the main event questline fell pretty flat. Maybe instead of the one crypt 13 times, make one bigger one that you have to explore to free the 13 heroes, maybe have getting keys to various parts linked to the overworld missions (and make it so that you only need 1 of them per group, so you can bring together a group that's killed differentoverworld heroes). Idunno, probably would have taken more time, but would have been cooler. Especially if the crypt scaled to group average level (or group max level, since you can always SK up.

Zombie Apocalypse is freakin' cool, tho.

yeah you can blame the ass that came up with the brilliant idea, in the last minute meeting, and said.

"Hey so why don't we just recycle the same maps? we use the same map backwarsd, forwards, upwards, downwards, sideways, and that way we don't have to work, I mean they are just gamers they are all so dumb they cant even notice."

its teh same for all the unity missions, nemesis missions, and pretty much anything thats instanced. Event eh new content in Millenium and mosnter island, its just a rinse and repeat the same place same mobs same everything. A growing trend in MMO's, lets just cut as many corners as possible and fool the consumer as much as we can.

The idea is great, teh werewolf hunter events are fun, even when they where unbalanced they are still enjoyable. But the 13 crypts wher rather uneventful. And what surprised me even more was that 6 of the 13 heroes had the same dialogue.

You all fail to realize that if they took the tedium completely out of it, everyone would finish the event on day one.

and you failed to realize that nobody is complaining about the tedium of the event. Rather the fact that they just copy pasted each crypt in different locations.

Yeah, exactly. That's what we call tedium. You see its tedious to complete the same dungeon, with the same boss, numerous times to see a different ghost at the end.

really? i thought the BM PvP was horrible and could have been a lot better. I am really starting to look at cryptic right now as the developers that want to do less but still charge the $15.00 a month sub. fee. I am happy that I canceled and I know I'm not the only one here that has. Not only that but this PvP event didn't even make me want to re-sub. Everything is way to simple, extremely easy and I see absolutely no challenge in this game nor do I see it in the future.

This Event like I said is not fun at all, I see no fun in this damn event, it was put in very poorly without any thought. You can clearly tell they tacked this event in without really thinking about anything.

Sorry guys but HAHAHA! sorry this game is a "dead float with no hope".

I did, but then I think I'm probably fairly easy to please. I just like beating up the bad guys and watching little pixels fall over.

The problem with this game is content. I never played the beta, but within the first few weeks I had my first 40 which means I played ALL the content. I was holding out for the Oct 27 for new content, but that seems to be only a few hours worth, if that. One dungeon repeated 13 times, then standing around waiting for a count down time for a boss fight not clearly marked on the map. Thats not content, thats premeditated boredom.

You've got me till Nov 3 when Dragon age gets released. Then I'm cutting subscripion. If you can avoid pulling a Tabla Rasa. I'll come back next year if you have content to warrant.

In case some of you haven't noticed, Champions Online is tailored towards the casual gamer. What they did works for me. I'm very glad they lowered the timers on the crypt portals as well.
