Default Nemesis Confrontation Devchat!

It's been a while since our last Devchat, so it's time to hold another one! Our next IRC chat will be on Friday, November 20th at 4PM PST. This time, we're focusing on the just-announced Nemesis Confrontation. We'll have developers on-hand who led the design of the upcoming Lair, so get your questions ready! Will we ever see lairs that are tailored for groups of 10, or even 25, or will 5-man lairs remain the standard?

What does Shadow Destroyer have to do with alien gladiators?

Why are our nemeses, who supposedly play a central role in this instance, reduced to henchmen strength pawns that do little more than shout something, engage in combat and drop dead three seconds later?

How come Cryptic seems to have such extreme difficulty with making interesting, challenging boss fights without grabbing for "give the guy lots of HP, and then add tons of damage"? Strategy often takes second place to graveyard rushing the boss-that-oneshots, can we expect to ever see this change into something more interesting?

Having alot of trouble on the team i'm on figuring out how to take him down. aside from the standard instant full health when we die being annoying being forced to go through the same sequence over and over again.

Will we ever get the option to edit our Nemesis' info or costume?
They too have a life and follow the fashion trends.

I would also like to be able to skip the Nemesis videos like other videos are skip-able by pressing [esc] or [space bar]. They are long, don't have any dialog only grunts and laughs, when you've done the missions twice it becomes boring to watch.

Will we ever get to have more then one nemesis? Many heroes have more then one.

ok so far we've figured out that when the world goes all purple you turn off yoru energy builder since the zone gives you energy nonstop and when you fill up you start taking damage.

The last nemesis mission featured a lead up to this lair, so why does this mission feature your current nemesis instead of a past nemesis who has teamed up with the boss of the lair?

ok Ive tried the nemesis mission out for a bit and ill post my first impression.

rite off the bat i was bale to organise a group of 4 out of are supper group. we did pick up a fifth but that person never went into the instance with us. i will say the wait to get into the instance being that we had a full group seemed a bit long. we sat around for about 20 min before we got the invite to join instance.

now as far as being in there the first part was grate. i like getting out of jail meeting back up with group and freeing prisoners to fight guards that was fun. the group we had once we wee inside was 4 people. i was mite, than we had munitions ,force, and celestial. when we got down to the room were we had to unlock the door the two hallways at the Farr end of the room with spikes were fine. we were able to clear out the nemesis and unlock there locks. the two hallways at the front though were ridiculously hard. just walking up the stairs would aggro 8 of the really hard guard guys the nemesis and the nemesis minions. the really hard guys hit really hard. i have 211 str with invulnerability. I'm using unbreakable with bionic shield and there still hitting for 2000-3000 a pop. i have 7000 hp and that's on the high end. my survival time with these guys was seconds. witch being I'm a tank is kind demoralising. i suggest having aether fewer of them come at a time or make them hit a little less hard. I'm planing on going back and trying a few different things. I'm going to have the guys i play with make a specific group for this with more crowed control hopefully that works.

ill post again after trying a few more times.

Are there plans to enhance the Nemesis experience with Voice-acting that is present with foes like Foxbat?
